A Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) is the term used for an assessment of all risks to life, safety functions and the asset. The assessment includes a consideration of the effects of escalation of primary events.
Our methodology consists of:
Review of the client’s Major Accident Hazard (MAH) Register and the identification of major accident events to include in the QRA.
Analysis of frequencies of the selected major accident events based on historic offshore accident data.
Modelling of event consequences, evacuation, and impact of platform personnel.
Determination of individual and group risks of death, and impairment frequencies.
Assessment using fatality risk criteria.
Uncertainty analysis.
Selection and modelling of the impacts of risk reduction measures.
Cost benefit analysis.
At KKRisk, our approach to QRA entails working with the client at every step of the QRA process to ensure that the data used in the assessment represents the client’s asset, operational principles, and safe systems of work.
